Emi Mundell Arts & Science Representative Candidate

Headshot of Emi Mundell

My name is Emi Mundell. I am currently in my first year at the University of Lethbridge, studying Psychology. I was born and raised in Lethbridge. Growing up I had always had a passion for getting involved with school spirit and leadership-based activities. When I started university, I knew I had to get involved somehow so when.I heard about the Student Union, I knew that was the path for me. During my first year I ran for First Year Representative and successfully won the election. Since then, I have sat on multiple external committees across the university including the GFC Library Committee and Senate. As well as many internal ULSU committees including, the Housing Working Group and the EDIA committee. Alongside committee work, I am often participating in school wide and ULSU related events. Being the ULSU First Year Representative has taught me so much and it has encouraged me to get out there with the university community.

What do you know about the position you are running for?

What are some of the initiatives you would like to implement if you are elected?

With my experience as the 23/24 First Year Representative, I am committed to using my learnt knowledge to better represent the Arts and Science constituency. As a psychology major, I understand how confusing it can be to navigate through your studies especially during the world today. With the ongoing food security crisis and housing crisis, life can be very challenging. As an Arts and Science Representative I want to help advocate for your needs so you can get through your studies with as little stress as possible. I want to ensure my constituents needs are being met across the university. With my experience from this year, I know I can help better represent those across my constituency as I work to advocate for them. As your Arts and Science representative, I am committed to advocating for you and your needs as a student.
