Brianna Michaud Residence Rep / ORS President Candidate

Headshot of Brianna Michaud

Hello Everyone! My name is Brianna Michaud, and I am running for the position of ORS President! I am a Math Education major, and this past year I have had the privilege of being a Townhomes RA and the chair of the cabaret committee! However, my leadership journey did not begin this year. In fact from the time, I was in elementary school, leadership has been a passion of mine! Needless to say, I have run events both big and small and volunteered in various capacities. But more than the events, I have learned the importance of being willing to learn and grow alongside the group you are leading. Because each new leadership opportunity is unique, and each new group of people will bring different strengths and challenges. What works for one group, or what one group enjoys may not be the same as the next. Since we’re on the topic of what people enjoy, let me share some of my interests! I love reading and listening to music! I also always enjoy a good conversation and meeting new people! So, if you see me around campus please feel free to say hello! I sincerely look forward to potentially being your ORS President and joining forces to create a vibrant community here on campus!

What do you know about the position you are running for?

What are some of the initiatives you would like to implement if you are elected?

“To study or not to study — the million-dollar university question!” -probably Shakespeare Studying absolutely has its place, but we all know university is (or can be) more than that! We all know about THE university experience, but I want to help you build YOUR university experience! This year on ORS, I’ve run everything from study nights to cabarets, because I believe in saying more than “C’s get degrees”, while still making memories. Each new year brings new opportunities, new experiences and the potential to make new connections. I want to make sure that you have the resources and support you need to make this year your own! Together, we can form a community where no matter who you are or what you enjoy, there is a place for you. Ultimately, I strive to help you make university your home away from home!
