Ella Yakubu Vice President External

Meet Emmanuella Yakubu a dedicated third year Biochemistry student at the University of Lethbridge with a passion for leadership, science, and student advocacy. When I’m not in the lab running experiments, you’ll find me working behind the scenes in student clubs, helping plan events, singing my heart out in my church choir or obsessing over cute animals. I’m also a huge fan of creative hobbies,I love painting and trying out new recipes whenever I get the chance. I enjoy watching teen drama and I’ll buy almost everything in pink. More than anything, I enjoy meeting new people and making meaningful connections. I love connecting with people, building relationships, and making sure student voices are heard. Whether it’s negotiating sweet deals for students, creating more networking opportunities, or pushing for real change, I’m all about making things happen
What do you know about the position you are running for?
What are some of the initiatives you would like to implement if you are elected?
Oki! I am Emmanuella Yakubu and I’m running to be your next Vice President External.
You deserve a representative who will amplify your voice, advocate for your needs, and build bridges
beyond our campus. Let’s make sure our student body is heard loud and clear!
Why Me? Here are some of my initiatives:
Expanding Opportunities -I’ll connect students with more internships, scholarships, and networking events to prepare you for life after graduation. As a fellow student I understand the importance of a smooth transition after graduation.
Powerful Student Advocacy – I’ll push for more student representation in government decisions beyond Municipal and Provincial level that affect our education and well-being. A voice in the government that will support students especially with cost of education and living.
Promoting Inclusivity – I will ensure all voices are represented by advocating for underrepresented groups and creating platforms for diverse perspectives.
