Eden Feleke Arts & Science Representative

Headshot of Eden Feleke

Helloo! My name is Eden Feleke, and I am a third-year chemistry student at the University of Lethbridge. Growing up in a family where mental health was not openly acknowledged, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that come with not having proper support systems in place. This experience has driven my commitment to advocating for accessible and effective mental health resources for students.

Through my volunteer work at Fresh Fest and new student orientation, I’ve gained valuable insights into the needs and concerns of students and how to create an inclusive, supportive campus. I believe in the power of student voices and am dedicated to being a representative who listens and takes action.

As your representative, I will work to ensure that Arts & Science students have the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

What do you know about the position you are running for?

What are some of the initiatives you would like to implement if you are elected?

Heyy! My name is Eden Feleke, and I am a Third-Year Chemistry Student running to be one of
your Arts & Science Student Representatives. As your representative, I will work diligently to
ensure your voices are heard and that meaningful changes are made to enhance student
well-being, career success, and overall university experience. My platform focuses on three key
areas:

Support for Mental Health
University can be overwhelming, and mental health resources should be accessible and
effective. I'll push for shorter wait times, expanded peer support programs, and increased
funding for counseling services. Stress management tools, wellness workshops, and awareness
campaigns should be more visible and tailored to students' needs. Your well-being matters, and
I’ll work to ensure you have the support you deserve.

Opportunities for Career Development
Arts & Science Students should have access to career-building opportunities that align with their
studies. I'll advocate for more networking events, career training, and internship/co-op positions.
Partnering with faculty and external organizations will create mentorship programs and
hands-on experiences to better prepare students for life after graduation.
Listening to and Advocating for Students

My goal is to represent what YOU want. I will actively seek student feedback through surveys,
open forums, and one-on-one conversations. Whether it’s academic concerns, student life
improvements, or policy changes, I’ll ensure your ideas and challenges are brought to the
General Assembly. You deserve a representative who listens, takes action, and fights for your
best interests.

By focusing on these areas, I hope to make a lasting impact and create a better experience for
all Arts & Science Students. Let’s work together to make our voices heard!
