Natasha Matemera Residence Representative Candidate

Oki and hello, my name is Natasha Matemera. I am a 4th year Economics and Finance major. I was an RA in Uhall D/E3 and over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Vice President of University Hall. After university, I plan to build a career in wealth management and capital markets investments, where I can contribute to strategic financial growth and impactful investment decisions. Beyond finance, I am deeply passionate about sustainable aid and development, believing that long-term, thoughtful solutions are key to meaningful change. My goal is to work with an international organization dedicated to creating sustainable, innovative pathways to improve lives, ensuring that economic progress translates into real, lasting benefits for communities worldwide. I love Formula One, and one of my favorite things to do is admire breathtaking scenery and capture it through photography, finding beauty in the world around me
What do you know about the position you are running for?
What are some of the initiatives you would like to implement if you are elected?
I am committed to fostering an environment where residents feel embraced, empowered, and understood, creating a community built on genuine connections that transcend physical distance between facilities. My goal is to ensure that resident students have seamless access to the support and resources available to them while continuing to advocate for their needs at every level. I am dedicated to empowering and supporting incoming RAs, equipping them with the tools to succeed in their roles. I want to expand ORS’s presence across campus by strengthening its visibility through social media, collaboration with campus resources, and a greater organizational footprint. ORS is a vibrant and well-managed student organization, and I want to further strengthen its internal structure while cultivating a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment that truly reflects the diverse voices of our residence community. I am running for President of the Organization of Resident Students (ORS) and Residence Representative for the 2025-2026 term because I am deeply passionate about ORS and the positive impact it has on the residence community. My goal is to build on that impact, ensuring that ORS continues to serve, support, and empower residents in meaningful ways.
